We discuss the spectral analysis of gapped time series, set up the recurrence formulae, and test the method with modeling signals. We have thus confirmed the reliability of the method. It has been applied to the analyses of the short period oscillations in the cataclysmic variable V795 Her and precataclysmic variable HW Vir. Oscillations with periods of 265.91s and 116.70s have been found in V795 Her.
