Scientific paper

The paper reports systematic investigation of IR emission and absorption features in H II regions, planetary nebulae, and protoplanetary nebulae from the IRAS-Low Resolution Spectra data base. The resulting selection constitutes a new data base (containing 284 sources) which is complemented by all published lines in the range 2-20 microns. Information on atomic, molecular, and solid state material is provided. A preliminary analysis of the data set is presented, emphasizing the PAH emission features.
