Time-resolved spectroscopy during primary eclipse was utilized in an attempt to find emission lines from gaseous disks surrounding the primary components of Algols with periods less than four days. A total of 18 systems was surveyed during 42 eclipses. The only systems which showed emission lines were RW Tan, U Cep, and TZ Eri. This was the first detection of a disk in TZ Eri. Unlike the pattern found in RW Tau, the emission seen in TZ Eri was stronger at third contact than at second contact. The emission lines in this system may be wider than can be accounted for by broadening due to circular disk motion. The findings of previous workers, namely that the disks in short-period Algol systems are both rare and transient, are confirmed.
