We briefly report on a survey designed to find AGB carbon (C) stars in the galactic halo. Candidate objects for being AGB C stars are selected through their 2MASS colors and their nature is verified with medium resolution spectroscopy. Their distance are typically found to be from 10 to 100 kpc. The radial velocities are also obtained. Up to now we have found about 50 new AGB C stars, and most of these objects come from the Sgr Stream.
