The majority of galaxies are contained in loose groups. These groups can contain numerous smaller galaxies in addition to the few large numerous galaxies. These loose groups may also contain gaseous remnants of galaxy formation in the form of high velocity cloud (HVC) analogs. To date, no free-floating HVC analogs have been found away from bright galaxies, though many gas-rich dwarf galaxies have been found. We conducted a survey of the loose group LGG 140 with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope (WSRT) for 21cm HI emission from dwarf galaxies, HVC analogs, and extended low column density structures. LGG 140 is a spiral-rich cluster located at a distance of 64 Mpc. This cluster contains a total of 8 known members. The survey has a 5-sigma column density sensitivity over 30 km/s of N(HI)=3x1018 cm-2, an equivalent mass sensitivity of M(HI)=2x107 solar masses, a velocity resolution of 2.1 km/s, and an angular resolution 100'' in the low resolution data. The high resolution data has an angular resolution of 25'' and will be used for computing the rotation curves of the detected galaxies. Thus far in the survey, we have detected four previously known members of the group, as well as four new HI-rich objects in the group. We examine the properties of the new HI detections in the group, and characterize them. In the future we will correlate these data with FUSE and HST ultraviolet spectra towards background AGN to get a complete picture of the cool neutral and warm-hot ionized medium in this group and the connections between them.
