A supernova near the galaxy Zw1 16.7+1.57, has been found on the maps of
the Palomar Observatory. The eye estimation of photographic and red
magnitudes gives: mpg = 18.3, mr = 18.6. The blue
colour and the supposed luminosity (Mpg = -17.2) of the
object suggest that it is of type II near the maximum.
