A neural network simulation software has been used to predict the maximum 13-month smoothed sunpsot number for cycle 22 and the month in which this maximum will occur. The network is described and its back propagation algorithm are described. The network testing method is reviewed and the prediction accuracy is compared with that from other techniques.
