This report presents the experimental results on cosmic-ray families of unusually small lateral spread, indicate the production of extremely small pt particles. Families of that kind have ever been reproduced well by the simulation calculations based on the ordinary multiple pion production models. The experimental results have been obtained on statistics of the 75 cosmic-ray families of the highest energy range, i.e., those with the visible energy sums not less than 500 TeV, recorded in the Chacaltaya two-story chambers, the Pamir and Pamir-joint chambers of carbon type, with the total exposure of the analyzed part amounting to up to 1,400 m2yr. The structure of energy flow, including the degree of sharpness in energy concentration on the above 75 families, and comparison of the results with those of the simulation calculation based on the model were studied. A systematic study on such type of high energy clusters of visible energy not less than 100 TeV has been carried out in nuclear emulsion plates under microscope for the families observed in the Chacaltaya chambers.
