ISIS-II observations of 630-nm arcs near the African and Asian magnetic equator, obtained between 21:00 and 2:00 local time under both quiet and disturbed geomagnetic conditions during spring 1972-1974 and summer 1976, are reported. The data are presented in extensive graphs and tables and characterized in detail. A correlation is found between the 630-nm emission rate at one of the anomaly crests and the existence of equatorial spread-F and gravity waves.
