An example is presented showing that the transition to astrophysical energies in the S factor for radiative-capture reactions can be performed conveniently when one separates beforehand the Coulomb cutoff component in the cross section. If one makes use of the continuous-spectrum wave function of two interacting clusters with zero energy of their relative motion, then the corresponding S factor can be calculated at E = 0. The S factor for the reactions 3H(α,γ)7Li and 3He(α,γ)7Be at E = 0 is calculated.
