Photographic plates taken for minor planet positions with standard astrographs could be a useful source for positions and proper motions of stars in the zodiacal zone because such plates overlap this zone several times. A selection of plates obtained for minor planet positions with the astrograph of the Fabra Observatory are measured. The selection contains both old and modern plates, film and glass plates, and the AGK3 and SAO as reference catalogs. The influence of the material, age, and reference catalog on the astrometric accuracy of the plate is discussed.
