Astrometry: Star Catalogues, Star Catalogues: Systematic Differences
Scientific paper
The systematic differences of star positions in the GC and FK5 systems as well as the method of calculation are described. The differences between the bright and faint star systems are detected and discussed. The main contents of the paper are (1) the establishment of a new faint star system (REFK5ex) in the FK5 system, (2) the systematic differences of faint stars (REFK5ex-GC) in positions, (3) the systematic differences of bright stars (FK5base-GC) in positions, (4) some dissections about the differences between the two systems.
