All thirty-four objects listed as suspected planetary nebulae (PN?) in the ESO/Uppsala Survey of the ESO (B) Atlas (Lauberts, 1982) have been studied. Seven are confirmed or considered to be planetary nebulae. Four others are confirmed in the literature. The rest are galaxies (6), suspected galaxies (4), stars with associated nebulosity (3), or plate faults (10). One of the galaxies (ESO 390-G05) has narrow emission lines and a redshift of 0.018.
