Two of the most complete photographic plate series of the Sirius region are measured and reduced. The following parameters are determined for the Sirius system: a photocentric semimajor axis of approximately 2.4904 arcsec, an absolute parallax of approximately 0.3777 arcsec, a total mass of about 3.198 solar masses, a fractional mass of about 0.3295, a primary mass of roughly 2.143 solar masses, a white-dwarf mass of roughly 1.053 solar masses, absolute magnitudes of approximately 1.43 for the primary and 11.33 for the white dwarf, bolometric magnitudes of approximately 1.23 for the primary and 8.33 for the white dwarf, radii of about 1.678 solar radii for the primary and 0.0073 solar radius for the white dwarf, a white-dwarf effective temperature of about 29,800 K, and a white-dwarf surface gravity of roughly 541 million cm/sec per sec. No evidence is found for the existence of a third component in the Sirius system.
