The Sco OB1 association is an extended system of O- and early B-type stars having the NGC 6231 open cluster as its nucleus; this region is conspicuous due to its number of spectroscopically peculiar stars. Multicolor photometric, spectroscopic, and kinematic data are presented for several of these stars, with a view to the determination of the systematic differences between the various intrinsic color and absolute magnitude calibrations for early-type stars.
