The paper examines the relative proportions of different classes of meteorites among the falls, and the conditional probability of a given distance between a witness and impact point of a recovered fall. The study confirms the percentage values for different meteorite classes as computed by Hey, with significant differences when 'showers' and 'nonshowers' are compared with each other. A simple theory is outlined on the distance between a witness and an impact point based on the presence of obstacles between them; it is concluded that an official checklist should be prepared for use in investigation of fall sites, and that future estimates of the flux rates be based on meteorites impacting buildings and automobiles.
