Some D-region drift observations obtained by the three-receiver technique are described. The amplitude fading records were analyzed by a method known as full correlation analysis. Several other parameters related to the geometry and variability of the ground diffraction pattern were defined and calculated in the correlation analysis process. These parameters often fluctuated markedly from one record to the next but on the average showed consistent changes with height, time of day, and season. These variations and some aspects of the physical interpretations of the parameters are discussed.
