The TV scanner of the 6 m telescope was used in March 1986 and in February-March 1988 to observe the nucleus of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 3516. The data obtained were processed making allowance for the contribution of the absorption spectrum of host galaxy which proved to be of the order of 70 percent in the region of H-beta line. The broad He II 4686 A and Fe II (multiplets 37 and 38) lines have been found. Within two years, the H-beta, H-gamma, and He II 4686 A line intensities changed, the intensity ratio of the H-gamma and H-beta broad components increased by a factor of 2, and the He II 4686 A broad component enhanced. The forbidden O III 4363 A line was not observed in 1986-1988.
