Results are presented for a statistical analysis of visual Orionid radiants reported by many mostly inexperienced observers. Geometric probabilities are applied, the right-ascension and declination distributions of the radiants are studied, and a nonrandom radiant distribution is indicated. The radiants are considered as a random field of points, and an upper limit is determined for the characteristic size of the area of radiation of the visual Orionids. Evidence for the existence of three groupings of Orionid radiants is also obtained. It is concluded that useful information may be derived even from rather imprecise visual meteor observations.
