Previous studies of coronal loops have suggested that some loops are heated impulsively and are radiatively cooling and draining when they are bright in the EUV. One study of the flows in EUV loops observed in a single active region confirmed this model; however no statistical study of the bulk motions in EUV loops has been attempted. In this research, we scan the EIS data base for active region observations containing EUV loops. We determine the bulk motions using the doppler shift of the Fe XII 195 line. The vast majority of the loops indicate they are draining and support the impulsive heating model.
