We report on a statistical analysis of 100+ CME-associated coronal dimmings between 1997 and 2000. We investigate the size and location of the events and characterize how each event evolves with time. The dimmings generally appear in typical active region locations (between 20 and 50 degrees latitude) and are somewhat larger, on average, than active regions. We find that the temporal profiles of most events have a sharp rise and a gradual decay, but many of the events have a two part decay with an initial decaying slope that is similar in magnitude to the rising slope and a secondary, flatter, decay lasting several hours. The results from this study are expected to provide insight into CME origins and may help improve predictions of CME-related parameters.
