The authors present a statistical investigation based on the 5 GHz
VLBI-Imaging Survey in the Southern Hemisphere. Two VLBI observing
sessions are summarized and comparisons are made with the statistical
results from the Pearson-Readhead VLBI survey, the Wehrle et al. survey
of variable sources and EGRET detections, respectively.
