We present our methodology for determining the expected rate of Supernova(SN)/Gamma-ray Burst(GRB) coincidences using the 2704 burst sample detected by the Burst and Transient Source Experiment (BATSE). We randomly generated 10000 GRB skymaps (each GRB associated with a random date) with the actual BATSE location error radii randomly distributed and searched for temporal and spatial correlations with known SN. We simulated the same correlation with lists of SNe subdivided by type (Ia, Ib/c, II, and Unknown type). Finally, we compared the distribution of these random correlations to the correlations of actual SN/GRB data using the complete current BATSE GRB catalog and the complete list of SNe from the Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams (CBAT) during the BATSE mission (April 1991 through May 2000). We present our results: the first statistical analysis of GRB/SN correlations using the complete current BATSE GRB catalog.
