The light curve of the variable star AF Cyg is analyzed statistically. The calculations show that the variability is a stochastic process. Brightness oscillations with mean periods of 93, 176, and 941 days are present and constitute narrow-band random noise. The peaks in the power spectrum corresponding to these cycles exceed the 99 percent confidence level. The oscillations are independent. Evidently some mechanism causes the 93 day and 176 day cycles to predominate alternately.
