A static cosmological model in the Einstein-Cartan theory based on Lyra's modified Riemannian geometry is described. It is assumed that the spins of the individual particles composing the fluid are all aligned in the radial direction. The observation is made that if spin is there in this static Einstein universe, it should be constant. An expression for the spin in terms of central density is given. The geometry and properties of the model are considered.
