The orbital period, 137.3 days and the first orbital elements of the B 9 IV star 27 Leo were derived on the basis of 26 Ondřejov coudé spectrograms, 33 older radial-velocity measurements found in the astronomical literature, and 6 new Victoria spectrograms kindly made available by D. P. Hube. The orbit of the star is highly eccentric and needs further confirmation using more data. Certain suspected spectral peculiarities of the object are briefly discussed. Photometric eclipses of the binary components are not excluded.
