Results of a spectrophotometric and morphological study of the galaxy
NGC 6677 with UV excess and of the bright compact object situated at
8arcsec distance to the south-east of the galaxy are presented. This
object turns out to be an active galaxy forming a close pair with the
galaxy NGC 6677.
