From diffraction spectrograms with dispersion 37 A/m in the wavelength range of 3700-4700 A, an analysis of the spectrum of the eclipsing binary system RY Per has been carried out. From lines belonging to different components, physical characteristics of the atmospheres of both stars have been determined by the curve of growth method. The results obtained correspond to the averages for B5V and F61V-type stars, their turbulence velocities and electron pressure being slightly increased. The presence of gas fluxes and of an envelope in RY Per accounts for this.
