Solar Telescopes: Image Intensifiers

Scientific paper

A correlation tracker for improving image quality of solar telescope has been built and successfully tested in the lab at Huairou Solar Observing Station, Beijing Astronomical Observatory. This paper will introduce the method of correlation tracking suitable for small-scale, low-contrast solar structure, as well as report on the system composing; the present status of development and preliminary results. Some ideas for upgrading the system perfomance are also given.
