The software presented in this paper has two features: (1) the background stars are displayed on the screen of PC to form a star chart which can be compared directly with the one drawn by the observer; (2) the equatorial coordinates of the object can ben obtained by moving the cursor to the site of the object on the background star chart. The software not only simplifies the data processing but to some extent, improves the positional precision as well, especially in the case when the object coincides with a star.
