As part of an NSF funded initiative on undergraduate research and education Haystack Observatory has developed a small radio telescope. The goal of this telescope project is to be able to provide hands-on experience in radio astronomy. The details of the antenna, the two axis mount and the 1.4 GHz receiver will be discussed. Some sample projects that can be performed with the telescope will be shown along with some preliminary results. Future refinements that are planned for the receiver will be discussed. The java based software interface developed for the telescope will be illustrated.
