Simultaneous photoelectric radial velocity and UBV (RI)KC photometric observations of 15 southern classical Cepheids with pulsation periods between 3d and 7d have been carried out. The results of the radial velocity observations are presented. For all of the variables, complete radial velocity curves could be obtained within two to four consecutive pulsation cycles.
Subsequent papers will present the results of the photometry and investigate radii, pulsation modes, and distances of the observed Cepheids, as well as their possible binary character.
