A simple model is proposed that describes the kinetics of a dust medium
and reproduces some observed nonequilibrium processes that lead to the
formation of planetary rings, galaxies, and large-scale fold-type
structures in space. The stable formation of typical galactic structures
is attributed to their relaxation to stationary dissipative attractors.
