On the basis of the results of magnetohydrodynamic models, observations of type II radio burst and measurements of the interplanetary plasma parameters of shock waves, a simple model relation has been suggested for propagation of driven shock wave. The free parameters in this relation, which has been constructed for a quick and simple prediction of SSC, are determined and discussed with the aid of cases of interplanetary shock waves already recorded.
