A simple precessing ellipse suitable for satellites with moderate
eccentricities and inclinations is built in the Hamiltonian context of
the J2 problem. Easy to use as a first intermediary orbit, it
provides a substantially closer starting point for series expansions
than the regular Keplerian ellipse.
