We use a simple two parameters model to populate dark matter halos at z=6.6 with Lyman-alpha emitters. Our model naturally reproduces the observed luminosity functions, stellar masses, stellar population ages, star-formation rates and duty cycles at z=6.6. We use this model to predict the population of Lyman-alpha emitters at high redshifts, in order to use them to probe reionization.
