Henrad's (1982) method, which is based on an extension of the theory of
adiabatic invariants, is presently applied to a simplified analytic
derivation of the capture probabilities for the j + 1 : j and j + 2 : j
orbital resonances. The results originally obtained by Yoder (1979) are
thereby recovered.
