High resolution image sensing detector is presented which is capable of detecting radiations reflected on the terrestrial surfaces in the range of short wavelength infrared. The detector has four spectral band rows on single semiconductor chip which is composed of Pt-Si Schottky barrier device. The scanning of the detector is achieved by electrical method using CCD devices consolidated within the chip. The detector is integrated into the optical sensor system (OPS) and the OPS is installed in the JERS-1 satellite.
