We report preliminary results of a search for variability among cool white dwarf stars. Targets were selected on the basis of photometric BVRI colors, large reduced proper motion and spectroscopic absorption features such as H, H2, or C2. Unfiltered time series CCD images were obtained with the SARA Observatory 0.9-m telescope at Kitt Peak for 11 stars and analyzed using a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) procedure. The program objects ranged in color from 0 < R-I < 1.0, and in reduced proper motion from 17 < HR < 22. Several may be members of the Galactic halo. All are near the low luminosity end of the white dwarf cooling track. Within the range of color and luminosity searched so far, no periodic variations larger than ~0.04 magnitude have been detected.
