Recently two groups of luminous low-mass X-ray binaries have been
recognized, i.e., the Z sources and the atoll sources, with common X-ray
spectral, X-ray timing, optical, ultraviolet and radio behavior. One of
the Z-type sources, Sco X-1, is known to have radio lobes. A search was
conducted for radio lobes in the Z source GX 17 + 2; none were detected.
