To search for extragalactic pulsars we carried out observations of six nearby galaxies at 820 MHz with the 100-m Robert C. Byrd Green Bank radio telescope. All target galaxies of the Local Group are at high galactic latitudes |b|>30°, that provides much less Galactic contribution to dispersion measures of extragalactic pulsars, and is crucial to detect them. In the present work we report about our preliminary results.
