A systematic search for eclipsing binaries brighter than the turn-off point in the globular cluster Omega Centauri, using a photographic method and blinking, has resulted in 83 new candidates. Of these, 29 are with a reasonable certainty variables. Half a dozen are possibly eclipsing, and one is almost certainly an eclipsing binary. It is shown that only few eclipsing binaries can be expected to be found if the frequency of binaries in the cluster is comparable to the frequency among the field stars.
