We have undertaken a deep (1.4 Ms) Chandra ACIS-I survey of the nearby face-on galaxy M33 (Chandra ACIS Survey of M33: ChASeM33) in an effort to study its diffuse and compact sources with the full spatial resolution of Chandra down to a sensitivity of (0.5-1.0)×1035 ergs s-1. The Cycle 7 survey consists of seven overlapping pointings in M33, each with a total duration of 200 ks. Three fields were observed in september 2005 for a duration of 100 ks each. Recently we used archival Chandra observations of M33 to search for X-ray counterparts to optically known supernova remnants (SNRs) from the Gordon et al. (1998) catalogue (Ghavamian et al. 2005). Here we present results of extending this search to portions of M33 newly observed by Chandra. In addition, we present results of a search for non-radiative (optically invisible) SNRs, using spatially extended X-ray morphology, coincidence with radio sources from the Gordon et al. (1999) catalogue and hardness ratios as discriminants.
