The paper considers the hypothesis that there exist new long-range forces which are not gravitational or electromagnetic. It is considered that these new forces act between massive elementary particles of a new type which have not yet been observed experimentally. It is suggested that a search for such particles could be conducted by means of exact systematic gravimetric measurements on the earth's surface and in the solar system.
