A search for planetary nebulae with secondary structures was made using a 50 A bandwidth H-alpha filter and long exposure times. Faint nebulosities, filaments, and globules comprised the secondary structures, the existence of which has negated efforts at simple shell theory models of planetary nebulae. No faint structure was found around NGC 1514, and double envelopes were detected in 1289 and NGC 2022; two symmetrical ansae were observed in NGC 2371 and NGC 2372. Previously unobserved filaments, bright rims, and faint nebulosity was seen in NGC-40, with emission lines in the Wolf-Rayet nucleus having a velocity of more than 200 km/sec. The use of spectroscopic or interferometric measurements is indicated to obtain evidence for a double shell theory, where the velocity of the secondary structures would exceed that of the main shell.
