The results of a radio search for spectral lines in the 44.0-49.5-GHz band from the comet Sugano-Saigusa-Fujikawa (1983e) on June 7-14, 1983, where it had geocentric distance 0.063-0.17 AU, are presented in tables and graphs. The observations were obtained with the 45-m 2-GHz-simultaneous-bandwidth telescope and the acoustooptical spectrometer (resolution 260 or 40 kHz, corresponding to 1.7 km/s or 250 m/s) at Nobeyama Radio Observatory; beam size was about 35 arcsec, and peak antenna temperature changes as low as 30 mK could be detected. No spectral lines could be detected and confirmed, but upper limits are given for a number of species, and a possible detection of the J = 5-4 line of HCCCN in the vibrational ground state is discussed. A column density for this level of 5 x 10 to the 10th/sq cm and a total number of HCCCN molecules in the beam (about 1600 km in diameter) of about 1 x 10 to the 29th are estimated - a value consistent with a model in which HCCCN is the main precursor of cometary CN.
