We present early results from a search for resolved dwarf galaxies in the Red Sequence Cluster Survey 2 (RCS2) dataset. RCS2 reaches two magnitudes deeper in the r-band than other contemporary sky surveys such as the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), in a regime where galaxy contamination becomes a serious issue. We search for statistically significant overdensities of point sources in 700 square degrees of the RCS2 catalog. Color-color and color-magnitude filters are applied to the RCS2 point source catalog to enhance the possible signal from nearby dwarf galaxies. This dataset provides an opportunity to find the very least luminous Milky Way satellites (such as Segue 1) to distances of 100 kpc or more. We acknowledge NSF grant AST-0908193 for supporting this research.
