A search has been made for the H392 alpha-H394 alpha radio recombination
lines in the direction toward the sources Sgr A, M17, and W51. Upper
limits are set on the line/continuum intensity ratio: 0.0004 for Sgr A
and M17, and 0.0014 for W51. The parameters of the ionized interstellar
gas toward the three sources are estimated.
