Eight different late type cataclysmic varaiable systems were studied to look for magnetic activity in the secondary stars. Late type CV systems consist of a white dwarf primary star and a fully convective secondary star with a short orbital period. From past observations it has been shown that fully convective stars show some amount of magnetic activity. Therefore, it is expected that these power spectra would indicate magnetic activity in a few of these systems. Combining light curves found on various amateur observing sites, longterm light curves for each star were compiled. Power spectra were made for each star to look for periods of changing flux that could indicate magnetic activity cycles. Magnetic activity cycles in the secondary star causes cyclic behaviour in the mass transfere rate, which in turn causes a cyclic behavior in the systems brightness.
