We propose here to use the most compact configurations of the ATCA, viz. H75 and H168, to search for low column density gas surrounding a candidate ``blow out'' dwarf starburst galaxy, NGC 625. The unique surface brightness sensitivity of these compact configurations of the ATCA, in conjugation with the excellent band pass stability, as well as stable beam properties of interferometric observations would allow us to detect very low column density gas (N_HI 10^{17}-10^{18} atoms cm^-2) around NGC 625.
